Swift Point Version 3 Release Note
<< February | March | April >>
Sunday, 28th March 2010
All Swift Point accounts have been upgraded to Swift Point version 3. This new version has a couple of new features that we'd like to briefly introduce you to.
1) Page Levels
In Swift Point version 2, you could control the page level (whether it was a main page or a secondary page) by changing the page type. For example, you'd select "Level 1 Page" for your top level pages and "Level 2 Page" for any pages that belonged underneath. Now, you just select "Page" and then select whether you want it to be level 1, 2 or 3. This also means that all page types can now be placed at any level, whereas previously some types of page could only be Level 1 pages.
2) New Plug-ins
We welcome some new plug-ins. The Super Shop, Super Blog and Super Gallery plug-ins. These new plug-ins are available already as an advanced preview, and will be released soon as full versions. All three of these new page types offer something a bit special and a bit different to the old style plug-ins and represent the kind of things we want to offer in the future. They support many of the features requested on the Swift Point forum, such as product-attributes in the Super Shop and multiple-uploads in the Super Gallery.
Please bear in mind that the new Super Plug-ins are not yet tested as stable, so feel free to have a play with them and let us know what you think, but don't use them for anything important just yet!
