Swift Editor

The Swift Editor let's you make changes to the text and images on your website. It has tool bar menus that let you change the appearance and alignment as well as add links, images and more.

If you're planning on changing your theme (and even if you're not) then bear in mind our handy hint on easy theme-swapping...

Don't change the Font, Text Size, Text Colour or Back Colour. If you change your theme after using these features, you might have to trawl through your website to amend the customised sections. - We can switch off these features if you want to ensure you don't break your templates.

Text Changes

To make changes to the text, simply click and type or select and delete. The following tool bar options are available to make further adjustments.

Alignment Changes

Icons are available to perform the following alignment changes:

Advanced Changes

Icons are available to perform the following actions. When clicked, these options will prompt you for further information to complete the request.

Table - Inserts a table with the number of rows and columns you specify.

Image- Inserts an image from your image library. You will be prompted toselect an image from your library and also for the "alternate text",which is used to describe the image to impaired users and searchengines.

Internal Link - Creates a link to a page on the current website. You will be prompted to select a page to link to. Pages are displayed in the same order as they appear in the Swift Site View.

External Link - Creates a link to a page on the internet. You will be prompted for the full web address of the page to link to.

Remove Link - Removes an internal or external link.

Flash - Create Flash Link. Creates a link to a flash file, which will play in a special display window. You will be prompted to select the flash file and enter the width and height of the movie.

Document - Create Document Link. Creates a link to document on your site.

Snippet - Inserts a snippet from the Snippet Manager. You will be prompted to select a snippet from a list of available options.

Code - Allows HTML code to be inserted. You will be prompted to enter the HTML you wish to insert.

Sample Code - Allows HTML to be encoded so it appears on the page. For example <p>Encoded HTML</p>. You will be prompted to insert the HTML you wish to be encoded and displayed.

Source Code - Allows you to edit the source code of the page.
